1500V DC SPD
1500 V DC SPDs are specified for utility-scale solar parks and large ground-mounted plants that run 1500 V string architectures to cut cable and inverter cost. They are fitted in string combiner boxes, string inverters and central inverter DC inputs, and must interrupt DC fault current safely at full array voltage. LPES supplies 2P and 3P 1500 V DC SPDs tested to IEC 61643-31 (Type 1+2 and Type 2), with 40 kA nominal discharge, DC-rated thermal disconnectors and remote contacts for SCADA monitoring.
