DC Protection Devices

DC protection devices switch and protect each PV string and the DC bus: isolators for safe disconnection under load, MCBs for overcurrent and reverse-current protection, and gPV fuses for string fault clearance. Because DC arcs do not self-extinguish, these devices must be specifically DC-rated with multi-break contacts and arc chutes rather than repurposed AC gear. LPES supplies DC isolator switches, DC MCBs and PV fuse holders rated 600 V to 1500 V DC to IEC 60947-3, IEC 60947-2 and IEC 60269-6, matched to its combiner boxes and DC SPDs.
