Field Instrument SPD
Field instrument SPDs protect 4–20 mA loops, thermocouple and RTD lines, HART and fieldbus circuits at transmitters, junction boxes and marshalling cabinets. Installed in series with the loop, they clamp lightning-induced and switching surges before they reach DCS, PLC and SCADA I/O cards, while keeping loop resistance and intrinsic-safety parameters within limits. LPES supplies DIN-rail and inline field instrument SPDs tested to IEC 61643-21 for process plants, oil and gas facilities, water treatment and power stations.
