Pipe-in-Pipe Earthing Electrode
Pipe-in-pipe earthing electrodes place a smaller-diameter copper or GI pipe inside a larger outer pipe, with the annular space factory-filled with conductive crystalline compound, giving a large effective contact area and a stable low resistance that does not depend on site backfilling quality. They are the maintenance-free upgrade to conventional pipe earthing under IS 3043 and CBIP practice. LPES manufactures 48/25 mm, 76/40 mm and 88/50 mm pipe-in-pipe electrodes in 2 m and 3 m lengths, in GI, copper-bonded and copper, for substations, telecom towers, solar and industrial installations.
