Copper Bonded Round Conductor
Copper-bonded steel round conductors combine the tensile strength of a high-carbon steel core with a molecularly bonded copper layer (typically 254 µm) that gives copper-grade conductivity and corrosion resistance at a fraction of the cost of solid copper. LPES manufactures 8 mm and 10 mm copper-bonded round conductors to IEC 62561-2 for down-conductor and ring-conductor networks in industrial plants, substations, solar parks and data centres, installed with standard copper-alloy clamps.
